You must have read writeups on shocking similarities between Abraham Lincoln & J.F.Kennedy's assassinations. We have a similar story in India also, not related to murder of any politicians but of 2 young ladies in different parts of the country.Just viewed movie "Talwar" & the story made me compare Arushi Talwar's murder case with Mumbai's Sheena Bora murder case. I was following newsreports  of this case till few years back and "Talwar" helped me to get back on the chronology and do some supplementary reading on the case. Lancashire cops Graham Coates and Al Yusuf with an officer of Mumbai Police. Sheena Bora was killed in 2012 and her murder case got detected only 3 years later. One of the causes for this delay was the unprofessional conduct of Raigarh cops who did not investigate the case of unidentified dead body found in their jurisdiction. Although, the body which was recovered by them was burnt and concealed in a travelling bag, they skipped to register a murder case. Raigarh cops also didn’t care to collect the report from anatomy department of Sir.J.J.Hospital where the skeletal remains were sent. Such conduct of Raigarh cops is an example of how cops treat the cases of unidentified dead bodies reported to them. This case has reminded me of “Operation Complex” of UK police. That operation demonstrated to which extent cops in UK go to investigate a case of unidentified dead body, no matter how much money has to be spent, how much manpower is to be employed and how much time it takes. ...

On the other end was an old source who was screaming at the top of his voice – “ Your ex boss Peter Mukherjea’s wife Indrani has been arrested by Khar police. She killed her sister Sheena Vora and disposed off her dead body in the forests of Raigadh. She has been remanded to police custody till August 31”. I was shocked to listen to these words and at the same time I understood that I was going to break a very big story. 25 अगस्त की शाम 7 बजे के करीब एबीपी न्यूज के दफ्तर में अगले दिन की खबरों को लेकर मैं अपने रिपोर्टरों से चर्चा कर रहा था, तभी एक पुराने सूत्र का फोन आया – “ तुम्हारे पुराने बॉस पीटर मुखर्जी की बीवी इंद्राणी मर्डर केस में गिरफ्तार हो गई है। खार पुलिस स्टेशन ने आज ही पकडा है उसको। अपनी बहन शीना वोरा को ही मारा उसने और उसकी बॉडी को रायगढ के जंगल में जाकर जला दिया। 31 अगस्त तक रिमांड हुई है ” । फोन पर उस सूत्र के इन शब्दों ने बडा झटका दिया और इसका अंदाजा उसी वक्त मुझे आ गया कि शायद मैं एक बहुत बडी खबर ब्रेक करने जा रहा हूं...लेकिन इस खबर में इतना ड्रामा होगा, इतने पहलू होंगे, इतनी उलझन होगी इसका अंदाजा उस वक्त नहीं था। इंद्राणी से मैं कभी नहीं मिला था, लेकिन साल 2003 में जब मैने स्टार न्यूज बतौर प्रधान संवाददाता ज्वाइन किया था तब पीटर मुखर्जी स्टार इडिया के सीईओ थे। आधिकारिक तौर पर मेरा उनसे कोई सीधा ताल्लुक नहीं था, लेकिन महालक्ष्मी में स्टार के दफ्तर में आमना सामना होने पर अक्सर वे मुझसे मुंबई अंडरवर्लड से जुडे सवाल पूछा करते थे और उस वक्त चलने वाले मेरे क्राईम शो “ रेड अलर्ट ” ...
